About Me
Hi! Welcome to Oldham County Small Batch! I started my journey in October of 2020, when hot cocoa bombs were in high demand and popular on social media. My first holiday season consisted only of gourmet hot cocoa bombs. I became what's called a "cottage baker," which means that I am a licensed and insured baker out of my home kitchen. My two degrees work quite well together in my work (BA in art studio and an AS in baking and pastry arts). On my best days, I would say that I'm an artist and food is my medium, especially chocolate. Professional experience ranges anywhere between a head baker at a coffee shop to PM banquets at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.Individual treats have always been my specialty. I work with chocolate all year 'round, and create caramel apples in the fall. Pie pops are also frequently offered between April and November. Why Small Batch?Because I have an eye for detail and every single order is important to me. My goal isn't to crank out as much product as possible. The treats I make are all hand-crafted and special. When your purchase from my business, know that you are getting quality products that I take great pride in making.I hope you will visit one of my pop-up events or attend one of my workshops, if you're local. For those that are far and wide, I have digital products for you to learn some of my techniques and recipes. Scroll down and check them out!
